Outsourcing

How Outsourcing Reduces Business Costs: Strategies and Examples

I notice since my interaction with manufacturing companies in the mid 1990s, more and more non core activities ie Canteen, Housekeeping, Health Clinic were being outsourced, for improving efficiency.

This outsource practice might be a bit "infectious", as it is spreading beyond businesses to adult personal life, ie raising kids, housekeeping etc.  And it is even coming to younger and younger age .........  I heard that there are students who outsource sitting examination, attending interviews, and doing assignments.  And now, outsourcing becomes cheap and ever more convenient, with the arrival of various AI platforms, including many free ones.

While in businesses, the clarity of core activity/activities may be more easily defined, we should ask what are the cores for parenting, student life, or even just being human.

 Essential Life Skills:

To live life well, core competencies involve strong emotional regulation (self-awareness, managing stress/emotions), effective thinking (critical/creative thinking, problem-solving, decision-making), and healthy relationships (empathy, communication, interpersonal skills), all supported by resilience, adaptability, self-care, and a growth mindset to navigate life's challenges and find meaning.

Mind you, some or many of the activities we want to outsource, actually impact our acquiring of these basic skills.

When I practiced football with my team on weekend in my teenage years, I learnt communication, interpersonal skills, without knowing it.  However, many kids in this age, get On line games, which, minimizes such interactions, which leads to inadequate exposure to such learning.

What about short cut of AI search to do university/college assignments?  How will that impact development of the person brain function?  How will it impact her/his enjoyment of life due to incomplete exposure to such learning?

Outsourcing Thinking To AI.. Are You Ready?

New research from Michael Gerlich reveals a troubling trend: the more students rely on AI tools, the more their critical thinking skills decline. Why? Cognitive offloading—outsourcing thinking to machines. https://doi.org/10.3390/soc15010006 In a

What is AI doing to your Frontal Lobe? | Dr. Neil Nedley

Remember, frontal lobe of our brain is the part that is critical to our thinking. Can underdevelopment of this part of brain push one to higher risk of dementia?  Can less thinking be a risk for dementia?  We know higher education protects us from dementia.
