Things to Do, To Take in to Fortify Health, Against Cancer

August 29, 2025  Eating Right is just two-worded instruction. Yet, it is very complicated that Nutritionists and Dietitians need to study many years in college/U to acquire the knowledge.  I will try to put it as simple as possible here.   My Teacher, Dr John Scharffenberg has a One Sentence Advice for Nutrition , Here it is :one minute short YouTube  LINK :    Listen to his sharing about diet with Chef AJ. A 30-min Interview on 6 other health habits  shared by Dr John Scharffenberg in YouTube. Nutrition in Pictorial Form, so as to ease visualizing, and implementation:   What now a person is lacking of, in order to benefit from this piece of info, is, to Take Action. Yes, to make effort. How can we make it easier?  This can be my next Friday's topic, right?  As far as the choice is concerned, I will write more in future posts.

Carcinogen Classification. Stuff to avoid

August 22, 2025   We are afraid of dying slowly, ie Dementia, and Cancers.  If there is a way to prevent these, would you be interested?  Many would go for getting to the root causes, and manage exposure to these.  I want to write about cancer causing agents 1st. International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) has evaluated >1000 agents and classified them into classes according to likelihood (strength of evidence) as below:       Here is a short YouTube video explaining this table  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WP60nNXqNOo   This time, FOR HEALTH, I bring up about WHAT TO AVOID. to stay in good health (the negatives).  Next week, I should talk about what to GET INTO OUR BODY, or DO to stay in good health (the positives). GROUP 1 means "confirmed" cancer causing agents. Here is the link to the list  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IARC_group_1  as of 2024. Here are some we are familiar with: Viruses - HIV, HPV, He...
August 15, 2025   Last week is the World Breastfeeding Week.   Why is it good for everyone of us to promote breastfeeding? 1. If you are the mother, it will help you to lose weight after birth, and also prevent breast and ovary cancers. 2 If you are the baby, it is SEDAP!  and you will be less likely to fall sick from infection, less likely to be FAT/Obese etc etc, read the Milk Formula can print out. 3 If you are neither of the above?  Why bother?  Yes, if you are the father of the baby, it still matters, Right? 4 What if you are not in any of the above categories?  😅 How can I convince you to be involved?         So, support Baby-Friendly Hospitals, because it will benefit you.
August 8 Reading: A Good Habit Reading is a gateway to knowledge, imagination, and personal growth.    It enhances vocabulary, improves focus, and sharpens critical thinking. Books expose us to diverse perspectives, fostering empathy and understanding.  (If we read Ben Carson's book, you will know that it was reading that transformed his life). However, choosing the right books is equally important. Quality literature—whether classics, well-researched non-fiction, or inspiring biographies—enriches the mind, while poor choices may waste time or misinform.  (Yes, the right choice of books mattered to Ben Carson too, he had a wise mother, it was said that she was illiterate, yet, she required him to wrote weekly book reports for her!)   Reading wisely broadens horizons, while mindless reading offers little value. By selecting meaningful books, we ensure that our time spent reading transforms into lifelong learning and intellectual enrichment....
August 1, 2025 Most if not all of us have heard about the benefit of daily 10K steps , and many would have made some adjustment ie getting a smart watch to track, or setting a time to walk.  But some of us, due to the many demands of life, just find it too hard to reach that target.   (By the way, if I walk a not so leisure, but also not so hard pace, ie 4km/hour, how long (minutes/hours) would it take me to complete 10K steps? Take a guess -- or easier lah, ask ChatGPT/DeepSeek/Other AI platform). Find the answer at the bottom. Recently, a renowned medical journal published an article about a lower target that will benefit us who find it too hard to achieve 10K steps.       There is a Discount of 30%.     Yes, you heard it right.  By 7000 steps a day, we will reap lots of health benefits.    But for those who still find achieving this a challenge, no worries, any thing above 2000 steps/24 hours, already bring...
