Skin Sensitivity - Urticaria, Autoimmune Issues ie Psoriasis, Rheumatoid Arthritis and the Like
It is not easy to resume an old routine, after a long break. I would like to share about how I got over my own skin sensitivity - semi autoimmune. Hopefully by stages, I would build this write up as complete as possible.
It starts off with gene. I know my dad, and grandma both had urticaria, and I had my 1st attack during medical school, (one of the stressful time of my life). It resolved after 3 months, with a few lifestyle adjustment.
It came back in 2006, I struggled and finally started regular anti histamine. (Ya, I do take medicine, western medicine). When my work stress mounted between 2010 to 2015, I escalated to needing daily dose. Without taking my daily antihistamine, the skin rash would definitely attack, and even became so serious as almost coming up from my limbs, trunk and to my face.
At the moment, I do not need to take anti histamine regularly. However, occasionally, I do need it. I do spare them whenever I travel. What is my solution? Firstly, manage my stress, improve my sleep.
Will share other pointers in my coming week sharing.
