World Mosquito Day - Rotarians Against Malaria Global

 Major mosquito-borne diseases in Malaysia,

Dengue fever,

2 Malaria,

3 Chikungunya, and

Japanese Encephalitis (JE). Last JE outbreak in Penang year 2000, in Barat Day and Sg Bakap areas.

Cumulative Dengue cases in 2026 for Malaysia has reached over 56,700 cases and 49 deaths in mid August. This marks an approximate 30% increase in cases and a steep 66.7% spike in DEATH compared to the same time frame last year.

65,000 mosquitoes released in Putrajaya?! 😳 Sounds scary… until you know the truth. This isn't negligence — it's science. Malaysia is using Wolbachia mosquitoes to fight dengue in a safer, smarter way,

 What to do?

Did you know that a mosquito bite can sometimes cause Dengue? Dengue can lead to hospitalization and for some it can even be life-threatening. You can protect yourself and your loved ones
