How To Prevent Cancer
Simple sentences of interpretation for the Cancer and Food Chart below:
  1. Alcohol, total fat in food, adult weight gain are all risk factors for breast cancer.
  2. Garlic has been proven to prevent Colon cancer; carrot has been proven to prevent cervix cancer.
  3. Fruit is the item of food that has been shown to protect many cancers, including common cancers like nose, throat, colon, stomach, liver and lung.
  4. Carrot, pumpkin protects us from cancers of lung, mouth, upper end of throat.
  5. Salted fish is bad for nose cancer, a cancer that is common among Chinese.
  6. Smoked food, grilled/barbecued meat, and processed meat/sausage/luncheon meat poses risk to stomach cancer.
  7. Alcohol is bad for cancer of the mouth, throat(pharynx/larynx), esophagus, liver, colon and breast.
  8. Next to fruits, leafy vegetable has been shown to protect many cancers, ie mouth, throat, nose, lung, stomach, colon, ovary and uterus.
  9. Red meat is implicated in cancers of oesophagus, lung, pancreas, colon, and uterus.
  10. Processed meat (ie sausage, bak kuah, lap cheong) is implicated in cancers of oesophagus, lung, stomach, colon and prostate.
